FACULTY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Work is now underway to engage our learning institutions in a faculty development program. The BELLE partners currently sitting on the Faculty Development Committee include; U of A, UBC, U of C, NAIT, and Sheridan College. We welcome participation from all our BELLE partners. UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE HARD AT WORK
The team at the University of Lethbridge has been hard at work tagging and uploading over 1000 learning objects, "...with hundreds in the waiting!" says Trevor Woods, Director of the Curriculum Re-Development Centre.

"We have done more that we had initially planned for the BELLE project. The Archeology department's collection and the microscopy slides from the Biology department are the largest contributors, but there are plans to further develop the Humanities side. The Religious Studies department will be uploading video content and the Faculty of Education will finish their Education Best Practices for Technology project this summer. We are also in the process of working with the visual art students to digitize, in QuickTime Virtual Reality, their work. It is an opportunity to showcase sensitive artwork that you can zoom in and out of and view from all angles."

This is an exciting time at the U of L for learning object repositories and we all recognize their dedicated efforts.

BELLE PROJECT EQUIPMENT EXPENDITURES
BELLE partners that are planning to buy equipment through their BELLE extension allocation for equipment allowance can contact Doug Bowman to discuss their equipment plans. Doug will offer recommendations, facilitate economies of scale and sharing between the partners, and generally create a clearinghouse for BELLE project equipment.

The revised Timesheets, Worksheets and Partner Guidelines are now available online. You can access the information at http://belle.netera.ca/admin_fin.htm. If you have trouble seeing the new information simply hit your Reload or Refresh key in the View menu.
